Where there any Red Sox fans prior to 2004 when the team cheated to win?
David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez and a many others on that team took steroids. They cheated to win and the 2004 and 2007 should have a asterisk. Right after they won in 2004, all of a sudden there are Red Sox fans everywhere. I dont remember hearing anything about the Red Sox or any of the fans if they existed prior to that.
Every team has fans regardless if they win the world series, or fail to make the world series. As far as cheating to win, I’m not going to get into that because it will start a new all-out war again and people will start talking about the a-rod thing and it’ll go on all day and night.
But to be honest, prior to 1996, you didn’t hear of any Yankee fans all excited and bragging out their team because they haven’t won a World Series prior to that since 1978.
Also if your team hasn’t won a world series in some 85 years or so, you’re not gonna wanna go bragging and getting all excited about your team. Me, I’ve been a huge Yankee fan for over 40 years and seen it all, and just feel blessed that I was able to see that much rich history …
But leave the Red Sox fans alone, they’re allowed to win a World Series here and there!
